Challenge 83 With Dies R Us!

Hello sweet friends!
Welcome to our new mid-month challenge at Dies R US! Our challenge today is to use LEAVES. So anything you want to create, any theme, any style... just use some leaves on your project.

So here is the card that I created for today's challenge.

For my card today, I cut out this really cute "Summer Flowers" background die from Die-Versions onto some bristol paper that I had blended a bit of tea dye and vintage photo distress inks on. I adhered this panel to a white piece of cardstock. I took an entire piece of bristol paper and in different sections, used various distress and oxide inks to blend the colors I needed for my project.

I cut out some Memory Box- Citrus Leaves Dies and some Lawn Fawn- Stitched Leaves Dies that were blended with mowed lawn and peeled paint. I also cut out the pretty tall flourish out of the same blended paper. That flourish is also from Die-Versions.  Now I knew that I wanted to have sunflowers on this card but I don't own any sunflower dies. So I got my thinking cap on and looked through my dies and found some dies I knew would work! My sunflower was created by using the second largest die in the "Delightful Circle Dies" from Spellbinders and the inside of my sunflower was created by cutting out the smallest circle from the Lawn Fawn- Small Stitched Circle Stackables Dies.  The sunflowers were blended using mustard seed and fossilized amber distress inks and the centers were blended with gathered twigs and walnut stain inks. To each distressed portion, I spritzed some water and dried it for a little texture. And I must say that these made some beautiful sunflowers, especially paired up with the flourish as its stem!!

I knew I wanted to add some pumpkins to this card to really give it a fall look. So I used a stamp set from Sunny Studio Stamps called "Pretty Pumpkins" and its coordinating dies. This is a cute layering stamp set and I was able to use a few of the pumpkins to complete the look I was going for. I stamped one of the sentiments from the set, "Hello Fall" on one large pumpkin and on a smaller one, I used one of the smiley faces from the  Lawn Fawn- Make Me Smile Dies. I love how it looks!!! Now the fun part begins! I put everything where I wanted it to go on top of that pretty "Summer Flowers" background panel and started adhering it all down to create my cute little Fall scene. The sunflower on the right is popped up on two layers of foam tape and the other sunflower and the pumpkins are popped up on regular foam adhesive. To finish off my card, I added some sparkle using my Spectrum Noir clear sparkle pen to the pumpkins and sunflower centers, added in some white highlights and black dots for "seeds" to the sunflower centers and added the entire panel to a "Peekaboo Peach" card base. Hope you like it! And in case your wondering what that brown thing is above my card, it's a clamp that is holding the card and it's attached to my Ott-Lite. Here is a picture of the light (Which is the BEST light that I own!!!) and a final photo of my card for today. :)

And that completes my card! All of the dies that I used are highlighted in the links above and can be found in the Dies R Us store HERE

New Release with Little Blue Button Stamps!

This is my 2nd Post today!
For Dies R Us Challenge #82  Click HERE

Little Blue Button Stamps

Hello sweet friends!

Today, I will be sharing a brand new image with you from October's new release. The Little Blue Button Stamps Shop has released some amazing digital stamps for this new release as always and I am super excited to share with you what I created using this adorable digital stamp called, "Warm Day Anna"!

Here is my card!

I love this image! Just cute! So I printed my image out on GP cardstock and did a soft watercolor using my Real Brush Markers and a water brush. Once it dried naturally, I took my white gel pen to add in some highlights and a copic multi-liner to enhance her eye lashes and darken up the natural features of the eyes and freckles.

I took my image and cut it out using the 3rd smallest die in the Spellbinder's  Nestabilities Marvelous Squares dies.  I then adhered that to a pretty pink panel that was cut out using the 2nd largest die in the same set. Then I adhered the entire thing to a beautiful fancy white card base. The card base was created by cutting the largest die out from the Spellbinder's Captivating Squares dies.  To finish off the card, I cut out one of the smallest dies from the Spellbinder's  Nestabilities Marvelous Squares dies and stamped the sentiments, "you're too kind" and "xoxo" in black momento ink. The stamps come from a My Creative Time stamp set. I took my hole punch, created the hole and ran through some raw hemp and tied it into a bow. I adhered this using a glue dot.

Well I hope you enjoyed my card showing off this adorable "Warm Day Anna" image! Please remember to head on over to the LBBS Blog to check out the awesome projects that my design team sisters have created for you using October's New Release.

Well thank you for stopping by today!
I hope you have a wonderful, crafty day!
Until next time, Enjoy life's blessings~

Dies R Us Challenge 82 " Life Events"

Hello sweet friends!
Welcome to our new October challenge at Dies R US! Our challenge today is Life events. So what do you celebrate in life? A Birthday? A new Job? Retirement? Anniversary? New baby or Christening? So let's see your life events projects!!

So here is the card that I created for today's challenge.

I decided to go with "birthday" as my life event. I have several fall birthdays coming up and one specifically for a younger special lady in my life. My card today is a shaker, how fun! I used the  Sue Wilson Designs-Shadow Boxes- Birthday dies to create the window opening panel for my shaker. I first took some of my distress oxide inks to create the panel, splattered with a little bit of water and then cut it out with the large die. I went ahead and added in my sequins, added my foam adhesive and then added a white backing panel that was cut out using the Lawn Fawn- Stitched Rectangle Frame Dies
I added that panel to a larger black panel, also cut out using the Lawn Fawn- Stitched Rectangle Frame Dies

I used distress oxides on another panel to create a very light, almost muted color for a soft look. I then took the heart and star balloons and strings from Lawn Fawn's Lawn Fawn-Party Balloon Dies and popped them up on foam tape. I thought they made a perfect accent to the front of this card panel.

The sentiment and the little lavender gift were also cut out from the Sue Wilson Designs-Shadow Boxes- Birthday dies. To finish off this card, I added the entire panel to a white card base, added some sparkle to the balloons and present using wink of stella and added in a little gold banner to compliment the gold sequins. You can never have too much gold ever! :)

And that completes my card! All of the dies that I used are highlighted in the links above and can be found in the Dies R Us store HERE

Well that is all I have for you today my friends. I appreciate you for taking time out of your day to visit me and see what I am up to.
