Oh Happy Day~

Happy Saturday to you my blog friends! I hope your weekend is going good. We have another beautiful day here in sunny Texas so I've been enjoying the sun shining and the beautiful cool breeze. I was in my craft room earlier today and I made this card. I used the Mojo Monday Sketch #237 for my card.

I used Bazzill white cardstock for my card base. It is a standard A2 card. On my first mat, I used Colorbok earthtones cardstock and all the rest of the papers are MME On the bright side collection from the 6x6 paper pad.

I did some faux stitching around the blue and patterned papers as well as the circles using my white sakura pen. I inked up all my edges with antique linen distress ink. I used some brads from American Craft in the center of my circles. The sentiment is an actual stamp that says "Oh happy day" and this stamp is from MME Happy Days stamp set. I stamped this using my Momento desert sand ink.
Here is a picture of the inside where I continued the faux stitching and used the sentiment "Happy birthday to you" from the Birthday Greetings set from Hot off the Press.

I stamped this sentiment using a white ink pad I have from studio G. The inside picture was zoomed in too much with my camera that it looks off center but it's not lol. Well thank you for stopping by today, enjoy the rest of your weekend!

I am entering this card in the following challenges:

Paper: Bazzill, MME(On the bright side)
Stamps: MME(Happy Days), Hot off the Press(Birthday Greetings)
Ink: Studio G White ink pad
 Brads: American Craft Antique
Linen Distress Ink White Sakura pen

  1. Great card!! Love the papers you used. The circles are great. The sentiment in white is wonderful!! I don't seem to do real well with white ink. :)

  2. Thank you so much Sharon! I used to have problems with white ink too until i found this cute studio G ink pad in the dollar bin at Michael's LOL

  3. Hi Joana, I love your card it has so many details on it, I like how you did the faux stitching. I have that white pen and use it for when I have to ink the white in eyes of my images. I also have a white ink pad and think it is from colorbox. I really love the inside of the card, so pretty.

  4. A fantastic card hun! Thanks for playing at PTW! xxx

  5. Really nice. I love the faux stitching. It adds such a wonderful interest to the card. I agree, don't see white too much. It is really nice.
